[edit] Personal Life
Zac is one of Rusty "Russ" and Myra Robinson's four children. He also has a younger brother named Chase and two sisters named Katie Ann and Taylor. Zac is not the only one in the family who have played the sport as his father was a former Oklahoma Sooner who backed up kicking legend Uwe von Schamann. His mother on the other hand is an OSU alumna who graduated in 1982 and served with the Cowboy Coeds (group that helped recruit football players) and the Diamond Doll (a baseball support group). Zac majors in general business at OSU.
[edit] High School
Robinson was a highly touted high school athlete out of Littleton’s Chatfield High School. The versatile Colorado native, who played three positions (wide receiver, punter, and quarterback), was one of the top athletes in the state, with several accolades that include spots first-team all-Colorado, first-team all-state, and all-conference honors. Robinson, adjudged as the Jefferson County offensive MVP, capped his career with 1,475 passing yards and 15 touchdowns (6 INTs), 1,078 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns, and 39 receptions for 850 yards and 11 touchdowns during his senior year. He went on to become Rivals.com's 10th-ranked dual-threat quarterback target in the country as a three-star prospect, while also being heralded as the ninth-best overall prospect in Colorado, regardless of position.
[edit] College
Several teams recruited Robinson, including Oklahoma State, Colorado, Colorado State, and Kansas State. He initially committed to Kansas State in June but after OSU offered him a scholarship in December, changed his commitment to Oklahoma State.

[edit] 2007
Following a solid back-up season as a redshirt freshman, Robinson was finally given an opportunity to strut his stuff as a sophomore. After opening up with just a single pass for 5 yards in the season opening loss to Georgia, Robinson carried the Cowboys for much of the game when starter Bobby Reid was sidelined with injury. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns with just an interception in a 42-6 win over Florida Atlantic. Since then, Robinson has finished every game with over 100-passing yards and with atleast a touchdown in each of those games. He had a remarkable game in a win against Texas Tech, rushing for over a hundred yards (116) for the first time while accounting for a total of 4 touchdowns (2 passing, 2 rushing). He also registered his third 3-touchdown game of his career in a win over Kansas State before establishing a career high in completions (30), attempts (42), and passing yards (430) while accounting for 3 TDs in the loss to the Longhorns. He made his second straight postseason appearance at the Insight Bowl against Indiana, completing 24 of 34 passes for 302 yards and accounted for a personal best five scores (3 passing, 2 rushing) to claim the game's Offensive MVP honors.
On his first year as the starter, Robinson completed 201 of 333 passes for 2,824 yards (second-most in Cowboy history) and 23 touchdowns, while also establishing new school records in total offense (3,671 yards) and rushing yards by a quarterback (847) in a single season.
