Divisions are categories that classify schools under the NCAA in terms of participants, scholarship and competency.
Division I
NCAA Division I schools generally offer the most number of participants Division I also the highest level of college sports competition and are permitted to offer the gratest nuber of scholarships
NCAA Division II (or DII) is the intermediate division of the National Collegiate Athletic Association. This Division offers an alternative to both the highly competitive and highly expensive level of intercollegiate sports offered in NCAA Division I.
NCAA Division III is a division of NCAA that compete in fewer sports at a less competitive level. They also do not offer scholarships, but they offer kinds financial aid to its athletes.
