Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno addressed some "roster issues" Thursday night during his radio show which will affect the line-up for the team's Saturday game against Oregon State.

First on the list was back-up defensive back Willie Harriott who was kicked off the team because of a violation of team rules. Although Harriott had been charged with driving under the influence last November, it was believed that the dismissal was not related to that incident.

"Willie got himself into a jam the other night and won't be with the team," Paterno said.

Aside from Harriott, PSU will lose three more players Saturday with the suspension of defensive end Maurice Evans, defensive tackle Abe Koroma, and tight end Andrew Quarless. A fourth name was actually linked to the incident, cornerback A.J. Wallace, but Paterno said he will play against the Beavers.

According to reports, the university police received complaints about a loud party at the Nittany Apartment 5204 last Tuesday night where Koroma, Quarless, Wallace and Evans reside. Reports further indicate that police who responded to the complaint smelled burning marijuana from the apartment. No charges have been filed.

"We're not gonna play Evans," Paterno said of the DL, who last year had 12-1/2 sacks. "Wallace will play because he was not a part of that. Koroma and Quarless were and that's unfortunate. We preach, preach, preach and they stepped out of line."

Paterno said the suspended players will sit out until he is able to gather all the information about the incident.
