DeMarco Murray (born on February 12, 1988) plays running back for the Oklahoma Sooners in the NCAA college football tournament. Entering his rookie year, Murray had the unenviable task of succeeding NFL-bound starter Adrian Peterson but ESPN's No.1-rated running back prospect successfully did so with his shiftiness and versatility. Although he missed the last three games of the season with an injured knee, Murray still managed to rack up 764 rushing yards with a team-leading 13 scoring runs with two touchdowns from kickoff returns in eleven outings. He garnered an All-Big 12 honorable mention selection from the league coaches to end the year.
