Born Colton James Brennan on August 16, 1983 at Laguna Beach, California, Colt Brennan plays quarterback for the University of Hawai'i Warriors in the NCAA college football. His 58 touchdowns in the 2006-07 season, capped by 5 TD's in the Hawai'i Bowl, is the most by any QB in Division I-A. Brennan also threw 5,549 yards with 12 interceptions to garner the highest passer efficiency in America. Brennan's record-setting performances include a 559-yard game against Arizona State, with eight other games where he finished with 400 yards or more. He has career stats of 93 touchdown passes and 9,850 yards, ran 520 yards and had eight touchdowns.

High School
Colt Brennan attended Dei High School in California, and played varsity for both the football and basketball teams. He led the Dei High football team to a league championship during his sophomore year then led the Dei High basketball quintet to a league championship during his senior year. Colt earned three letters in football and one in basketball. After graduating at Dei High, he attended Worcester Academy in Massachusetts for a postgraduate year before moving on to college.
College
Colorado
Brennan redshirted for a year at the University of Colorado but was involved in a controversy the following year, pleading guilty to burglary and tresspassing charges after he was accussed by a UC coed. Brennan was almost immediately kicked off the team after the incident.
Saddleback Community College
Brennan earned a letter in football at Saddleback Community College in California and had the chance for a fresh start at his new school. He was able to redeem himself with a splendid performance that earned him a state Offensive Player of the Year award and was named to the first team All-Conference. Brennan did just as well with his academics as he made it to the honor roll.
University of Hawai'i
Brennan's performance at SCC was impressive enough to earn a walk-on opportunity at Hawai'i. Brennan was quickly pushed to the limelight on his sophomore year, starting 10 of 12 games. With his numbers though, he did not disappoint as he broke or tied eleven of UH's offensive records. His achievements that year include country-best 4,455 yards and 35 touchdown passes. He also passed for 4,301 yards, which was 8th most in WAC history. He posted career high numbers of 515 yards, 7 TDs, and 38 completions during a game against New Mexico State in October 15, 2005.
By 2006, Brennan was the undisputed centerpiece in the UH offense which thrives in high octane offensive, passing game. He started all of the team's 14 games, leading the Warriors to a postseason Bowl Game victory to finish a highly successful season. Brennan's awards also rained that season: a Sammy Baugh Award, a Walter Camp second team and AP All-America third team selection, a WAC Offensive Player of the Year award, was a finalist for the Davey O'Brien Award and Cingular National Player of the Year, and was 6th overall in the Heisman trophy voting. He was also named Player of the Week twice, by the Walter Camp Foundation in November 4 and by USA Today in November 7. Brennan led several statistical categories in the WAC and nation, including total offense (422.5), touchdown passes (58), passing efficiency (185.96), points responsible for (27.7), completion percentage (72.6%), passing yards (5,549) and passing yards per game (396.4). It was altogether an impressive season for Brennan who have thus far, broken or tied 18 NCAA, 17 WAC and 41 school records.
