Charleston Southern running back T.J. Latimore and three former Buccaneer football players were arrested in North Charleston, S.C., on Monday night.

The four suspects, namely Latimore (19), Samuel Baptiste (20), Zachery Hillery (20), and Ronald Baldner (19), have all been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping for their alleged involvement in an incident that began on campus.

According to the police report, two men approached a car on campus at around 7:45 p.m. on Nov. 11 with an 18-year-old female student and a male acquaintance, also 18, sitting inside. The two men got in the backseat, and pointed a gun at the male's head and told him to drive. After getting to an apartment complex, the men took the couple's money, around $30, and fled.

The police did not indicate which two of the four suspects approached the car.

After their arrest, the students were suspended from school. It wasn't clear if the suspects had attorneys.

"We are disappointed to hear of the charges brought against these young men," CSU head coach Jay Mills said in a statement. "Our athletics program at CSU continues its commitment to the academic, athletic, spiritual and character development of our student athletes."

Bail for Baptiste was set at $400,000 because he has an unspecified criminal history in Florida while for the three others was set at $200,000 apiece.

Latimore has played in all 11 games this season, rushing for 201 yards on 52 carries. Baptiste once verbally committed for UNLV before the school pulled off its scholarship offer for "academic reasons."
