Arkansas starting cornerback Jamar Love is scheduled to undergo surgery and is expected to miss some games for the Razorbacks.
More information about his injury should be released this week according to team spokesman Kevin Trainor. Love was not with the team in Tuesday's practice and will likely be sidelined when the Hogs (2-3, 0-2) visit 20th ranked Auburn on Saturday.
Love, a senior team captain, is no.2 in the team in tackles (31) but leads the team in pass break ups (7).
The Razorbacks will likely elevate third-year sophomore Ramon Broadway to the starting position because of the absence of junior back-up CB/punt returner Jerell Norton (hamstring). Broadway has one of only two Arkansas interceptions this season. Senior Shedrick Johnson and freshman Tramain Thomas are expected to be the reserves.
Meanwhile, senior starting defensive tackle Ernest Mitchell will continue to be missed after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery last week. He is still on rehab with freshman Zach Stadther taking his place for the second straight game.
